absent or decreased normal associated movements of the upper limb when walking in association with upper motor neuron disease; and abduction of the fifth digit with ulnar neuropathies.

1. Flexion of the thumb when the patient attempts to flex the four fingers against resistance, a "pyramid sign."
2. Intense pruritus of the tip of the nose and nostrils in cases of cerebral tumor.
