Wallenberg's syndrome
[väl′en·bergz] Etymology: Adolf Wallenberg, German physician, 1862-1949 a syndrome resulting usually from occlusion of the vertebral artery, and less often from occlusion of its branch, the posterior inferior cerebellar artery; marked by loss of temperature and pain sensations of the face on the same side as the legion, contralateral loss of these sensations in the trunk and extremities, and a variety of other neurologic and ocular symptoms including Horner's syndrome.
