Browser Online A software tool–eg, Internet Explorer, Foxfire, Opera that requests and displays HTML documents and other Internet or intranet resources using HTTP; WBs enable Internet navigation to Web sites, by typing in key words or phrases on the subject of interest; once a Web address–or URL–is typed the WB sends the user to a 'home page'. A Browser is a software program such as Netscape (Nasdaq:NSCP) that can access and view HTML documents, also called a WWW client.
Using Sun's workstations as a hardware base, MODCOMP will be offering an Internet product -- called ViewMax 2000 -- which provides secure links between WWW clients and corporate legacy systems.
Users may access an O2Web server from any standard WWW client -- such as Mosaic or Netscape.
