uvula /uvu·la/ (u´vu-lah) pl. u´vulae   [L.]
1. a pendant, fleshy mass.
2. palatine u.u´vular

uvula of bladder  a rounded elevation at the bladder neck, formed by convergence of muscle fibers terminating in the urethra.
uvula of cerebellum  u. vermis.
palatine uvula  the small, fleshy mass hanging from the soft palate above the root of the tongue.
uvula ver´mis  the part of the vermis of the cerebellum between the pyramid and nodule.

A small conical pendent fleshy mass of tissue, especially the uvula palatina.

the small cone-shaped process suspended in the mouth from the middle of the posterior border of the soft palate, especially the uvula palatina. uvular, adj.
