prostatic utricle , urethral utricle a small blind pouch in the substance of the prostate.

prostatic utricle
n.
A minute pouch in the prostate opening on the summit of the seminal colliculus that consists of the remains of the fused caudal ends of the paramesonephric ducts. Also called masculine uterus.

prostatic utricle,
the part of the urethra in men that forms a cul-de-sac about 6 mm long behind the middle lobe of the prostate. It is composed of fibrous tissue, muscular fibers, and mucous membrane. Numerous small glands open on its inner surface. It is homologous with the uterus in women. Also called uterus masculinius. See also prostate.
