Tubex unit, trademark for a unit consisting of a cartridge with an attached needle that screws onto a plunger. The cartridge may be empty or prefilled with a standard dose of a medication. As the plunger is depressed, forcing the diaphragm into the cartridge, medication is forced out through the needle. The cartridge needle unit is disposable.
