theriogenology

theriogenology
the discipline of animal reproduction; that branch of veterinary science which comprises the study of the normal physiology and anatomy and the pathology and diseases of the male and female reproductive tracts of animals. It includes the subjects of obstetrics and gynecology, as dealt with in human medicine, reproduction on a herd and flock basis, and with artificial insemination and embryo transfer and, in some countries, with neonatology.
