Tacrine
A drug commonly prescribed for Alzheimer's disease that provides temporary improvement in cognitive functions for some patients with mild-to-moderate forms of the disease.

Tacrine works by blocking the breakdown of acetylcholine.
He focuses the anti-Alzheimer's drug Tacrine and the breast cancer drug Herceptin in industrial, policy, and clinical settings.
But two others which were approved in recent years, tacrine and donepezil, treat only symptoms, whereas vitamin E and selegiline are believed to attack the underlying causes.
