Super Model Syndrome

    0.01 sec.
Super Model Syndrome
A term with multiple ad hoc definitions which reflect various aspects of supermodels’ lifestyles, including
(1) Female eating disorders resulting from a desire to emulate a supermodel’s physique, through overuse of laxatives and emetics for ‘purging’ resulting in malnutrition
(2) The difficulty that supermodels have in dating, because their physical attraction intimidates many from approaching them and starting a relationship
(3) Unwillingness to work for a 'paltry' minimum wage—which may be more than most people earn in a year—based on supermodel Linda Evangelista’s 1990 quote: 'We (supermodels) don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day,' perhaps the most notorious quote of supermodeldom
