straight chiropractic (strātˑ kīˈ·rō·prakˑ·tik), n a fundamentalist school of thought associated with chiropractic medicine in which manipulation of the spine is used as the primary therapeutic approach. Adherents to this school of thought emphasize the concept of innate intelligence and believe subluxation is the primary origin of disease.
