Paired similar photographs or drawings which when viewed in a stereoscope give the sensation of stereopsis. Some stereograms are used only to explore fusion. Syn. stereoslide.

Stereogram Explorer is user-friendly design software for creating high-quality hidden 3D graphics, also known as Single Image Random Dot Stereograms (SIRDS) or Single Image Stereograms (SIS) known from the "Magic Eye" series.
It is called Stereograms of the Dead - and Alistair is happy to explain, saying the title comes from a poem inspired by a visit to a charity shop in Sunderland's Blandford Street.
Looped licks droned until the songs became the aural equivalent of stereograms, those computer-generated optical illusions that require you to cross your eyes before you can see the hidden image.
