a genus of nematodes in the family Spiruridae found in the alimentary tract of carnivores, rodents and insectivores.

Spirura rytipleurites
there are two varieties, one found in the stomach of the cat and fox and one in the hedgehog.
Spirura talpae
found in the European common mole (Talpa europea) and the black rat Rattus rattus.
