Sium
plant genus in the family Apiaceae; contain an unidentified toxin which causes several syndromes: (1) abdominal pain and diarrhea, (2) tremor, convulsions, bloat, bradycardia, (3) taints milk; includes S. angustifolium (cow-cress, fool's watercress), S. latifolium (water parsnip), S. suave (S. cicutaefolium).
