Signet Ring Cell Lymphoma

Also found in: Acronyms 0.01 sec.
Signet Ring Cell Lymphoma
Any of the lymphomas, comprising up to 1% of all B- and T-cell lymphomas, that have nothing in common beyond having multiple ‘signet ring’ lymphocytes; the cleared vacuoles are derived from a multivesicular body, a lysosome which may be filled with immunoglobulins. Signet ring cell lymphomas are heterogeneous by histologic—many are follicular center lymphomas—clinical and immunohistochemical criteria, and thus are curiosities of uncertain significance
