germinoma /ger·mi·no·ma/ (jer″mĭ-no´mah) a type of germ cell tumor with large round cells with vascular nuclei, usually found in the ovary, undescended testis, anterior mediastinum, or pineal gland; in males called seminoma and in females called dysgerminoma.

a neoplasm of the germinal tissue of the gonads, the mediastinum, or the pineal region. It is commonly associated with pituitary disorders.

germinoma [jer″mĭ-no´mah]
a type of germ cell tumor consisting of large round cells with vesicular nuclei, usually found in the ovary, undescended testis, anterior mediastinum, or pineal gland; in males these are called seminomas and in females dysgerminomas.
