A If you have a pension plan which is either a SSAS or a SIPP that is a Small Self-Administered Pension Scheme (SSAS) or a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) you can.
The differences between a SSAS and a SIPP stem from the definition of sponsoring employer contained in the Finance Act 2004.
Even if you do not have a SSAS now you could transfer in personal pensions to open one and to have this source of finance.
