Riemerella
a genus of gram negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria that cause disease in birds.

Riemerella anatipestifer
causes an acute or chronic septicemic disease in ducks and other birds characterized by fibrinous pericarditis, perihepatitis, air sacculitis, caseous salpingitis and arthritis. Called also new duck disease, infectious serositis, goose influenza. Previously called Pasteurella anatipestifer and Moraxella anatipestifer.
