anteversion /an·te·ver·sion/ (an″te-ver´zhun) the tipping forward of an entire organ or part.
anteversion [-vur′shən] Etymology: L, ante + versio, turning 1 an abnormal position of an organ in which it is tilted or bent forward on its axis, away from the midline. 2 (in dentistry) the tipping or tilting of teeth or other mandibular structures more anteriorly than normal. Compare anterocclusion. 3 the angulation created in the transverse plane between the neck of the femur and shaft of the femur. The normal angle is between 15 and 20 degrees. anteverted, adj. anteversion [an″te-ver´zhun] the tipping forward of an entire organ.
