reduplicative paramnesia

(rĭ-doop′lĭ-kāt″ĭv)
A rare psychiatric disorder in which the patient is convinced that the environment in which he is living has been duplicated brick by brick and leaf by leaf in another location. It is usually diagnosed in people who have suffered a focal brain injury (e.g., to the right hemisphere of the brain).

Although behaviorally spontaneous confabulations might be accompanied by false recognition and reduplicative paramnesia (for place and person), which suggests a common neurological basis, there is no consistent association between mnestic and non-mnestic confabulations such as anosognosia.
