Redbone coonhound a medium-sized, sturdy dog, with a short, rich red coat, large, pendulous ears and a long, tapered tail. The dog is derived from bloodhounds and foxhounds and originated in the Ozark Mountains of central USA. It is used for tracking bear, mountain lions and raccoons. |
