Reiter [ri´ter]
Frances (1904–1977). American nursing educator and researcher; first dean of the Graduate School of Nursing (later the Lienhard School of Nursing) at New York Medical College. She believed strongly in the supreme importance of practice in the nursing profession. She was an advocate of the education of nurse clinicians; the term nurse clinician is her coinage.
