radiologic technologist,
a person who, under the supervision of a physician radiologist, operates radiologic equipment and assists radiologists and other health professionals and whose competence has been tested and approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Also called radiographer, x-ray technologist. radiologic technologist a health care professional skilled in the theory and practice of the technical aspects of the use of x-rays and radioisotopes in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
