Radical cystectomy
A surgical procedure that is used when the cancer is in more than one area of the bladder. Along with the bladder, the adjoining organs also are removed. In men, the prostate is removed, while in women, the ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus may be removed. Mentioned in: Bladder Cancer
