DYRK3

A gene on chromosome 1q32.1 that encodes a dual-specificity kinase that is a negative regulator of EPO-dependent erythropoiesis, possibly acting to prevent red cell production during stress erythropoiesis. It inhibits cell death due to cytokine withdrawal in haematopoietic progenitor cells, and may regulate CREB/CRE signalling.
