nicotinamide /nic·o·tin·a·mide/ (nik″o-tin´ah-mīd) niacinamide.
nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide  (NAD) a coenzyme composed of nicotinamide mononucleotide in pyrophosphate linkage with adenosine monophosphate; it is involved in numerous enzymatic reactions, in which it serves as an electron carrier by being alternately oxidized (NAD+) and reduced (NADH).
nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate  (NADP) a coenzyme composed of nicotinamide mononucleotide coupled by pyrophosphate linkage to adenosine 2′,5′-bisphosphate; it serves as an electron carrier in numerous reactions, being alternately oxidized (NADP+) and reduced (NADPH).
