PIE Syndrome
A heterogeneous group of conditions characterised by intense, nonspecific symptoms accompanied by chronic relapsing fever, cough and shortness of breath, and chronic eosinophilia in the blood or tissue. Some authors divide these into those caused by inhaled or ingested extrinsic factors—e.g., medications and pathogens, especially parasites—and those attributed to intrinsic factors which are usually idiopathic in nature and often linked to autoimmunity

pulmonary infiltration with eosinophilia; a disease of dogs of unknown origin characterized by dyspnea, reduced exercise tolerance, diffuse pulmonary infiltration by eosinophils and an eosinophilia.

Secondary chronic pulmonary eosinophilia Associated with allergic bronchopneumonia related to aspergillosis, bronchocentric granulomatosis, allergic angiitis and granulomatosis–Churg-Strauss syndrome, drugs–nitrofurantoin, sulfonamide, and infections–parasitic, fungal, and bacterial
