It comprises the Sarcomastigophora, Labyrinthomorpha, Apicomplexa, Microspora, Acetospora, Myxozoa, and Ciliophora.

a unicellular protist that ingests food. Protozoa include free-living forms, such as amebas and paramecia, as well as parasites.
