Effort Thrombosis

effort thrombosis,
an abnormal condition in which a clot develops within the subclavian or axillary vein following strenuous exercise. The condition is accompanied by pain, edema, and skin discoloration in the shoulder and upper arm. Also called Paget-Schroetter's syndrome, Paget-von Schroetter's syndrome.
