adverse effects Life-threatening effects are atrial fibrillation and infarction. Other serious adverse effects include oliguria, hypertension, pulmonary edema, pleural effusion, hypoxia, leukocytosis, and anemia. Common side effects include nausea, bradycardia, and hypotension.
