GI disease A popular term for acute inflammation of intestinal mucosa seen in an ileal reservoir that may extend transmurally, as a late complication of restorative proctocolectomy, possibly due to obstruction and stercoral ulceration DiffDx IBD, DiffDx with idiopathic IBD.
