polyethylene /poly·eth·y·lene/ (-eth´ĭ-lēn) polymerized ethylene, (—CH2—CH2—)n, a synthetic plastic material, forms of which have been used in reparative surgery.
polyethylene glycol  (PEG) a generic name for mixtures of condensation polymers of ethylene oxide and water, available in liquid form (polymers with average molecular weights between 200 and 700) or as waxy solids (average molecular weights above 1000); some are used as pharmaceutic aids, and p. glycol 3350 is used as a laxative.

polyethylene
[pol′ē·eth′ilēn]
a strong but flexible synthetic resin produced by the polymerization of ethylene. Polyethylene materials have been used in surgery.

polyethylene glycol a polymer of ethylene oxide and water, available in liquid form (polyethylene glycol 300 or 400) or as waxy solids (polyethylene glycol 1540 or 4000), used in various pharmaceutical preparations as a water-soluble ointment base. Polyethylene glycol is also used as a laxative.

polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution
an osmotic solution used as a cathartic to empty the bowel in preparation for endoscopy. Abbreviated PEG. Called also GoLYTLEY.
polyethylene suture
one of the better monofilament fibers because of its good handling, low capillarity, high tensile strength and longevity in tissue. It has only moderate knot-holding capacity.

Disposable soft drink and sports water bottle made of plastic are rated on whereas milk jugs, shampoo bottles and liquid detergent bottles tend to be made from high density poly ethylene (HDPE), and labeled as number two plastic.
The LDPE-3 Project will be using the excess ethylene produced by QATOFIN and QAPCO, and it is planned to produce annually 300,000 metric tons of low density poly ethylene using the high pressure tubular reactor technology from "Basell" of Germany, the leading technology provider in this application, which was acquired in 2007.
The d2w is imported from a British company M/s Symphony Environment and its small quantity can covert poly propylene (pp) and poly ethylene (pe) into degradable material which can vanish within 90 days or earlier if exposed to sunlight.
