A physician who specializes in the medical care and treatment of the human foot.

a health professional who diagnoses and treats disorders of the feet. Podiatrists complete a 4-year postgraduate educational program leading to a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.). Also called chiropodist in Canada.
