plasmalogen /plas·ma·lo·gen/ (plaz-mal´ŏ-jen) any of various phospholipids in which the group at one C1 of glycerol is an ether-linked alcohol in place of an ester-linked fatty acid, found in myelin sheaths of nerve fibers, cell membranes of muscle, and platelets.
plasmalogen one of a group of phospholipids found in platelets, cell membranes of muscle and myelin sheaths of nerve fibers.
