The Plantar Fascia is the broad band of fibrous tissue that runs under the foot and that forms your arch.
Treatment for plantar fasciitis is conservative at the beginning, consisting of non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), plantar fascia night splints, well-cushioned shoes, heel pads or heel cups, orthotics, and physical therapy.
Plantar fasciitis, the most common cause of heel pain, is an inflammation of the connective tissue called the plantar fascia that runs along the bottom of the foot, from the heel to the ball of the foot.
