Phycomycetes /Phy·co·my·ce·tes/ (fi″ko-mi-sēt´ēz) a group of fungi comprising common water, leaf, and bread molds; they can cause phycomycosis in humans.
Zygomycetes [zi´´-go-mi-se´-tēz] a class of saprobic and parasitic fungi of the phylum Zygomycota; important pathogenic organisms are in the orders Entomophthorales and Mucorales.
