phosphatidylserine [fos″fah-ti″dil-ser´ēn]
a phospholipid containing serine that is an important constituent of cell membranes and is localized preferentially in the inner surface of the plasma membrane. Abbreviated PS.

phosphatidylserine (fäsˑ·f·tīˈ·dl·s·rēn),
n a phospholipid that has been used to treat cognitive impairment, depression, and the symptoms of overexertion. Caution is advised for patients taking heparin. Also called
PS.
