blond plantago, broadleaf plantain, buckhorn, cart tract plant, common plantain, English plantain, flea seed, French psyllium, greater plantain, Indian plantago, lanten, narrowleaf plantago seed, plantain seed, ribwort, ripple grass, snakeweed, Spanish psyllium, tract plant, way-bread, white man's foot, wild plantain, or

PATACONES Request patacones (tasty munchies) wherever you visit in Costa Rica.
50) arrives as a colorful, hefty portion of lots of good stuff: pieces of beefsteak (carne asada), two types of sausage (blood and chorizo), crunchy chicharrones (deep-fried pork crisps), little potatoes, yuca, patacones (fried green plantain) and tomato.
An exception, which we found in lower-end restaurants favored by locals, is patacones - deep fried bananas, as ubiquitous as french fries in the United States, and as pleasantly greasy.
