uvula /uvu·la/ (u´vu-lah) pl. u´vulae   [L.]
1. a pendant, fleshy mass.
2. palatine u.u´vular

uvula of bladder  a rounded elevation at the bladder neck, formed by convergence of muscle fibers terminating in the urethra.
uvula of cerebellum  u. vermis.
palatine uvula  the small, fleshy mass hanging from the soft palate above the root of the tongue.
uvula ver´mis  the part of the vermis of the cerebellum between the pyramid and nodule.

palatine uvula,
an elongated process that hangs from the middle of the back edge of the soft palate.

n a general term indicating a pendent fleshy mass.
