Procymidone (commercial name Sumilex) and quintozene (also referred to as PCNB for pentachloronitrobenzene) are both systemic fungicides used widely in horticulture on some fruits, vegetables and non-edible plants.
The three chemicals are CNP, PCP, used to kill weeds in rice paddies, and PCNB, used to sterilize soil, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said.
