Onycholysis
The separation of a nail from its underlying bed. Onycholysis is a common symptom of candidal infections of the nail or of exposure to harsh chemicals and detergents.

Yellowish or Whitish Nails - This is due to onycholysis or the occurrence of gap between the nail and the nail bed.
The first sign of Onychomycosis is the development of a small area of Onycholysis (separation of the nail plate from the nail bed) at the distal tip of the nail.
Other skin conditions include onycholysis (separation of the distal nail from the nailbed), erythema nodosum (a tender nodule, usually on an extremity), and granuloma annulare-like lesions.
