oncofetal antigen
n.
One of the tumor-associated antigens present in fetal tissue but not in normal adult tissue, such as alpha-fetoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen.

oncofetal antigen
a fetal antigen that is also produced by some types of cancer cells, such as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) or alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). See also oncofetal antigen.

oncofetal antigen Oncology Any antigen expressed in the fetus during embryogenesis, which isn't  produced in major quantities in adults. Cf α-fetoprotein, Carcinoembryonic antigen.
