The article can be summarized as follows: There is no convincing evidence of harm from exposure to microwaves below levels recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) (1998); therefore, there is no harm, and hence application of the precautionary principle is not indicated.
The results of this survey showed that power level of all BTSs surveyed was much below the prescribed limits and in line with the policy directives of Ministry of Information Technology & Telecom and according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines.
Also in Finland, the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority discovered that exposing human cells to the non-ionizing radiation emitted by cell phones causes a response that normally only occurs when cells are being damaged.
