Cyclosporine for microemulsion Immunology An immunosuppressant for reducing organ rejection in kidney, liver, heart transplants; to manage severe, active rheumatoid arthritis unresponsive to MTX; to manage adult, nonimmunocompromised Pts with severe, recalcitrant, plaque psoriasis who are unresponsive to one or more systemic therapies–ie, PUVA, retinoids, or MTX--or in Pts for whom either systemic therapies are contraindicated or cannot be tolerated. Tokyo, Japan, June 16, 2006 - (JCN) - Novartis Pharma has obtained additional approval for Neoral (cyclosporine), its proprietary immunosuppressant, from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
He also claimed that the company had been funding NGOs and patients' groups to lobby for Neoral which was commanding 'abusive prices' in Brazil.
A federal judge in Delaware ruled on March 31 that Abbot Laboratories', Abbott Park, IL, Gengraf formulation does not infringe on Novartis Pharmaceuticals, East Hanover, NJ, patents for Neoral (cyclosporine, USP) microemulsion preconcentrate formulations for cyclosporine.
