Byline: Karen Dent SHEEP farmers are being warned to beware of nematodirus infestation in lambs, even though the reasonably early spring is likely to mean there will be a below average number of problems caused by the parasite.
Unfortunately our assessments over the course of this project have become difficult to interpret as there has been a widespread nematodirus problem throughout this area and the faecal egg counts taken at the outset revealed an underlying problem.
It transpired that the lambs had had a very high burden of the Nematodirus bowel worm, which had damaged their digestive system.
