Naffziger's syndrome Etymology: Howard C. Naffziger a condition of cervical vertebral muscle spasms secondary to intervertebral disk disease, cervical rib disease, or other disorders. The spasms compress the major nerve plexus of the arm, causing the patient to experience pain in the neck, shoulder, arm, and hand. Also called scalenus anticus syndrome.
