NLRP1

A gene located on chromosome 17p13.2 that encodes a member of the Ced-4 family of apoptosis proteins, which contain a caspase recruitment domain (CARD) and are key mediators of apoptosis. NLRP1 (formerly, NALP1) stimulates apoptosis by activating caspase-3.
