NHS Service Agreement

NHS Service Agreement

A formal arrangement between two NHS organisations in which one commissions the healthcare services (e.g., a primary care trust or GP commissioning groups), and the other provides those services—e.g. an NHS Board and an NHS Trust. NHS Service Agreements delineate the volume, cost, scope and quality of services to be provided, and constitute a non-legally binding “contract” between the two bodies.
