the factor secreted by the Sertoli cells of the embryonic, developing testis that causes regression of the müllerian ducts, the primordia for the accessory sex glands of the female.

Mullerian inhibiting substance (MIS) (also known as anti-Mullerian hormone), a gonadal peptide hormone, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta family and an important factor for male sex differentiation.
The treatment combines two areas of research-tissue engineering and the purification and cloning of mullerian inhibiting substance (MIS).
Mullerian inhibiting substance (MIS), another hormone, is produced by Sertoli cells.
