(1) A movie starring Elliot Gould and Donald Sutherland, based on a novel by the same name about an army field hospital during the Korean War (1951-1953)
(2) A TV comedy/drama based on the movie, M•A•S•H, which aired in the US from 1972 to 1983 (lasting 9 years longer than the War itself). The ensemble cast was led by Alan Alda as Haweye Pierce, chief surgeon, humanist and humourist, and followed the antics and heartaches of the highly stylised 4077th Army field hospital during the Korean War
