A motor protein associated with microtubules that participates in the ATP-dependent transport of vesicles and other entities. It directs anterograde axonal transport.
Any of a group of motor proteins that move along microtubules and are involved in cell division and the transport of cytoplasmic organelles.
one of three mechanochemical proteins (the other two are myosin and dynesin) associated with the cytoskeleton that converts chemical energy into mechanical energy and is the driving force for the movement of vesicles and organelles along the microtubule.
